Destac\u00f3 por su <strong>compromiso social y personal con uno de los barrios obreros sevillanos<\/strong> m\u00e1s castigados por la Dictadura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde los diez a\u00f1os trabaj\u00f3 en el campo no pudiendo asistir a la escuela, ense\u00f1\u00e1ndole a leer y a escribir su padre. En 1957 se traslad\u00f3 a Sevilla, trabajando en Laminadora del Sur SA, donde comenz\u00f3 su actividad sindical como enlace sindical y jurado de empresa. En 1969 se incorpor\u00f3 al PSOE (organizaci\u00f3n clandestina) de Sevilla. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trabaj\u00f3 en Sider\u00fargica Sevillana y desde 1970 fue miembro de la Comisi\u00f3n Ejecutiva Provincial del PSOE.
