Desde muy pronto se convirti\u00f3 en una de las principales estaciones ferroviarias de Sevilla, disponiendo de servicios ferroviarios que la enlazaban con C\u00e1diz, Jerez de la Frontera, Marchena, Bobadilla, M\u00e1laga o Granada.
